Eminem Drops Collection of NFTs
Today Eminem drops a line of NFT collectibles that (so far) includes action figures, trading cards and exclusive beats produced by Em himself. In what heâs calling âShady Conâ Eminem will auction off the limited edition NFTâs, as well as a special 1 of 1 NFT that will include physical items. The auction begins at 6:30 ET on NFT marketplace Nifty Gateway.
Iâve been collecting since I was a kid, everything from comic books to baseball cards to toys, as well as every rap album on cassette I could get my hands on,â said Eminem. âNot much has changed for me as an adultâŚIâve attempted to re-create some of those collections from that time in my life, and I know Iâm not alone. I wanted to give this drop the same vibe of, âOh, man I gotta get just that one or maybe even the whole set!â Itâs been a lot of fun coming up with ideas from my own collecting passion.
The news arrives just days after Eminem tweeted his reaction to an SNL skit that parodied his âWithout Meâ video while attempting to explain NFTâs. Was he in on it?
Coal, Cowboys, and âŚCrypto?
Wyoming is perhaps best known as the state where no one actually lives, but the state seems to have a few tricks up its sleeve. âThe Equality Stateâ was the first state to grant women the right to vote back in 1869 (to increase the voting population enough to meet the minimum for becoming a state, but still). More recently though, Wyoming was the inventor of the LLC as we now know it.
Even more recently, state leaders have been hard at work in the crypto law space. The stateâs status as the most crypto-friendly jurisdiction in the US has already attracted big names like Kraken, Cardano, and Ripple, who have all moved their headquartersâ to Wyomingâs capital city, Cheyenne.
Now, Wyoming has decided DAOs will be recognized as LLCs, as long as they domicile in the state. This begs the question, âHow can a decentralized organization live in a state?â Well, through a registered agent, whatever that eventually ends up legally meaning.

Whatâs the Season This Time? Solana Szn.
If you donât know who this guy is, youâre about to find out. His name is Sam Bankman-Fried and he is the Founder/CEO of cryptocurrency exchange FTX, an exchange that promises to disrupt the industry with the latest innovations (tokenized stocks and prediction markets anyone?) Sam wants to use his FTX platform (we briefly mentioned FTX in our Quick Bite about Miami) to solve the issues he perceives with the Etherium network, as well as other âEth-Killersâ:
It is a combination of people being fed up with gas fees and comparisons on decentralization with other major non-Ethereum blockchains.
Thatâs why (after auditing about 30 other fast blockchains) heâs partnered with Solana, a blockchain technology that is blazing fast (up to 65,000 transactions per second!) as well as scalable and secure. But the aim is not to replace Ethereum, but to work alongside it to grow both.
Adam Cochran breaks it down with a killer thread:

SOL was virtually immune to the effects of the recent big dip, surging 30% up to almost $33, and as of this writing sits at almost $47, for an additional 40% gain.
It looks like the beginning of a beautiful $SOL szn!
